I wasn’t supposed to be the one helping women get sober.
Honestly…
There was a time I wasn’t even sure I could help myself.
My life revolved around alcohol.
Not because I loved drinking.
Because I honestly believed I needed it.
It helped me celebrate.
It helped me numb out.
It helped me sleep.
It helped me survive.
Until it didn’t.
I hated how much control it had over me.
I just didn’t know how to live without it.
I wasn’t waking up thinking…
“I can’t wait to drink today.”
I was waking up thinking…
“How the hell am I supposed to live without it?”
Those are two completely different things.
And nobody was talking about that.
Here’s the crazy part…
I worked in addiction treatment for nearly 20 years.
I knew addiction.
I knew recovery.
I knew what I was supposed to tell everyone else.
Then I’d leave work…
…and go home to my own relapse.
Imagine helping women rebuild their lives…
While secretly wondering if you’d ever rebuild yours.
People always ask me what finally made me quit.
Truth is…
It wasn’t one thing.
It was a hundred little things.
Another hospital visit.
Another broken promise.
Another morning waking up sick.
Planning my day around liquor stores.
Hiding bottles.
Lying.
Trying again.
Relapsing again.
Finding pictures my daughter took of me passed out.
Looking at my girls and wondering…
“Is this what they’re going to remember?”
Believing maybe I was just one of those women this was never going to work for.
Truth is…
It wasn’t one thing.
It was a hundred little things.
Another hospital visit.
Another broken promise.
Another morning waking up sick.
Planning my day around liquor stores.
Hiding bottles.

Finding pictures my daughter took of me passed out.
Looking at my girls and wondering…
“Is this what they’re going to remember?”
Believing maybe I was just one of those women this was never going to work for.
Then I became willing to try something different.
I got the Vivitrol shot.
It didn’t magically fix my life.
But it gave me something I’d been missing for a long time.
Space.
Space between the thought…
…and the choice.
Inside that space…
I started rebuilding.
Prayer.
Community.
Faith.
Movement.
Boundaries.
Nervous system work.
Honesty.
One decision at a time.
I didn’t find the answer.
I found my answers.
That’s why Controlled Chaos exists.
Because I don’t believe every woman has to recover the way I did.
I believe every woman deserves to find what finally works for her.
That’s the mission.
Today…
I’m sober.
I’m a wife.
I’m a mom.
I’m a business owner.
But honestly…
Those aren’t the things I’m most proud of.
I’m proud my girls trust me.
I’m proud my phone doesn’t make my stomach drop anymore.
I’m proud I don’t have to hide.
I’m proud I actually like the life I’ve built.
Not because it’s perfect.
Because it’s real.
A few things you should know…
I’m loud.
I laugh too much.
I basically live in hoop earrings and Hey Dudes.
Coffee is non-negotiable.
My pitbull is family.
I love Jesus.
I don’t believe healing has to look the same for everyone.
I don’t believe relapse makes you a failure.
And I definitely don’t believe you’re too far gone.
Credentials matter…
So here you go.
Nearly 20 years working in addiction and recovery.
National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
Recovery Coach.
NLP Practitioner.
Breathwork Facilitator.
Former Vivitrol Ambassador.
Featured in USA Today and Brainz Magazine.
Worked with everyone from everyday moms to executives and public figures.
But if I’m being real…
The credential I’m most thankful for…
Is that I’ve lived it.
Because when you tell me something you’ve never told another soul…
I don’t judge you.
I get it.
